Match report
Town went down six goals with nil at Hornchurch on Saturday with stoke never really being able to get hold of the game against a very strong and physical experienced Hornchurch side.

1st Half
Town had the 1st chance after 10 minutes but Cristian Levis put David Ray shot was was spilled by Westhead shot a foot wide when it seemed easier to score. From then on in it was all Hornchurch. Tarr was in a personal battle with Kirk Jackson and Wayne Purser making some cracking saves from Jackson the former Yeovil frontman but eventually he put the hosts in front with a bullet header on 31 minutes from a Wormull cross. Again Tarr saved from it being 2-0 from another Jackson header with Tarr parried and we eventually clear the danger.

2nd Half
Town started the brighter of the two teams in the 2nd half and Sergio Torres reacted first to some poor defending and drilled a shot which the keeper saved easily. But Hornchurch were back in control after that and Caskey went close are Jackson was denied by a superb block by Bristow. Parrington then became the 2nd caution of the afternoon with another bad tackle although he had his eye on the ball at all times he was lucky to escape with a caution. From the resulting free kick our defence stood and admired Kirk Jackson head in his second of the afternoon from a cross by Caskey. When the ref gave a soft handball by Bristow (which was ball to hand and from the replays I have seen was not a pen) we knew it was over and when Caskey smashed home the penalty it was a case of how many would they score. Jean-Michel Sigere came on for purser and was soon in on the act as he made it 4-0 beating Bristow to the ball from a Jackson cross. Steve West then came on who had been out of action for 10 months with a broken leg and made a super sub appearance getting two goals the 1st from a Wormall cross and again Bristow losing the battle as West got his foot to the ball and Tarr made a save but it still found it's way into the back of the net. Then West made it Town's worst defeat since I have supported them by getting the 6th heading the ball past Tarr off the bar with another Wormall cross.
