Tom Bird
Tom is a young left back. He made his name on the Sky One TV series 'Football Idol' where he finished in second place and was rewarded with a three month contract at Chelsea.

He was already on Basingstoke's books at that time and was playing regularly for the youth team. He later made a number of appearances for the BTFC reserve team.

Tom broke into the first team in April 2008 after the release of various players due to financial troubles but instantly made the position his own, establishing himself as a first team player.		 D.O.B.
